So I have been a non-blogging mommy lately. Mostly because I did not want to exert the energy required to produce a blog. Also, because I've been dealing with life drama and a baby getting over a cold.
So Tim...
He is not smoking. He is on the patch. He has had a few slips, but I support and encourage him in becoming smoke free. I just really want him to be healthy. I want him to live as long as He wants him to live. I want him to be around to watch our children (we're having 8 afterall, right hun?) birth and grow. I don't want him to leave me. This is not a selfish request. I am supporting him in making a decision that is ultimately going to prolong his life (I expect him to live to AT LEAST 108) thus making our life together full and wonderful. I only hope that he has the same will and desire. I honestly can't imagine my life without this wonderful (smoke free) man in it.
Kylee...
She just turned 5 months this past weekend. She is developing quite the personality. She is still only rolling from back to front ALTHOUGH she did roll from front to back in her sleep. She is not crawling, but is doing this sort of scoot/push thing. It gets her around a little bit. She wants to crawl SO bad. She can get her legs moving and her arms up, she just hasn't put the two together yet. Someday... She can sit up by herself until she gets excited and tips over..it's quite entertaining to watch. She's still teething (drool baby drool) but we're using teething tablets (AMAZING) and teethers (pretty great too!) She is LOVING the warm weather. We took her to the park last week and she LOVED sitting and playing in the sand, going down the slide with her daddy, and swinging. She is sleeping in her crib (some thought this would never happen) through the night and it's SO nice to get solid sleep again. She's pretty amazing and darn cute (that's what I'm told at least). I think I'll keep her.
Me..
Still working weekend overnights. My schedule just got changed today. Not a change I like. But I'm still being offered a full time job. That's what is important, right? And I only have to work 3 days a week. I just have to stay positive is all. I have developed quite the interest in gardening and thanks to my new and wonderful friend Laura (who is going to host what I can only expect to be an informative and fantastic gardening workshop) I am going to start a food garden in our backyard and plant some flowers in the front. Kylee enjoys the time outside in her bouncy or saucer..so it's win-win really. I am also going to take a stab at making baby food. Not that baby food is crazy expensive (yet) since she only eats a jar a day BUT I have the time and the desire to do it. So, why not? I'll keep you posted on how it goes. I'm optimistic.
SO..that's us in a nutshell. We're really excited for the Spring weather (finally!!) that we have started to get and have been taking full advantage of it. I hope you all are as well.
And for your viewing pleasure...(you didn't think I could post an actual blog entry without one, did you?)
